But let us say I need one that doesn't need to be fluid. But stays the same, minimal overlapping if any and works well in a lot of browsers? Which one do I use? HELP! ??? calabiyau Posted June 20, 2007 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Floats are best I think...absolutely positioning is the worst for your overall layout as it takes the element out of the flow of the page...so if you absolutely position something, elements that are supposed to come after it won't, they'll come after the previous element that wasn't absolutely positioned. Best to just let your major sections flow down the page without any positioning and use floats when necessary for column effects. Just don't forget to clear your floated columns.
