How do I delete or mark a thread resolved?

Recommended Posts

I've emailed these guys a couple of times.

I can't find the "delete" button they refer to in the "Help" section.

I've seen the "Resolved" button come up, usually after the first comment is posted to my post.  But then I never see it again..

Can anybody help me?

I'm just trying to clean up my part of this forum..

Thanks

1) You aren't allowed to delete your posts

2) You are only allowed to edit your posts for a limited amount of time

3) There is a "marked as solved" feature, but it has been lost since the SMF update. The admins are working on getting it back, be patient.

Oh, and a word of advice: DON'T USE ALL CAPS SUBJECTS FOR YOUR POSTS AS THESE ANNOY PEOPLE, EVEN VERY MUCH SO.

Not sure what "help" section you're referring to but it must be old information.  We do not allow users to delete information.  If you have sensitive information one of the admins or mods can remove it, but otherwise it will remain.  This collection of information is searchable by all of our members and the content of all threads is very valuable to us.

448191 made some very good points as well.

Take it easy guys!

Your help files are dated - the information is not to be found, nobody answered my emails for assistance....

Mine was an innocent attempt to help the maintenance of your forum.

We appreciate your efforts... but many of the mods have addressed issues of a similar vein the past, hence the tone.

This thread is more than a year old. Please don't revive it unless you have something important to add.
