For once, Gizmola managed to put me out, but when I got to read it a few times again and read what was behind the link, I eventually understood it approx. although it did not solve the problem. Whether I'm logged in as root or "122387_chapterofhate @ localhost". As I told you, I had trouble entering the password on the root account, but suddenly it worked. So now there is a password on this account. This is local, so there is no danger in terms of security without a password on the root account, but it's just that I build this so it should be the same as when it is uploaded to the webserver-hotel-room. It seems like I'm locked out of administrative privileges, but because I suddenly was able to create a root password, I'm slipping through. I do not understand in hell what is happening, and now I have struggled with this for over a day, soon two. So bananamen, I wonder if I have to re-install MySQL one more time. Maybe unnecessary, but I have not a clue after so many hours....

Yes i have tried that and most of other things. With and without password to.

I can, no matter what create a new database, new user, or set privileges by using the command line, terminal window, from Laragon, or other GUI When I check the Microsoft Management Console, I can't find MySQL listed, but MySQL is started and running. Am I just tired or what?

It's not only that. It won't accept the MySQL script file I give Laragon. It's a backup from Laragon, but no. When I try to paste it, it locks my computer. For every time I do a fresh install I am updating the MySQL to as you describe. I think the problem lies there. So, what do I do? I need the 8.0.29 MySQL version.

That was what i did. A clean install and upgraded the MySQL as you said/told me in another thread a few days ago. That problem was fixed, but brought some new ones in after a few hours. So then i tried to install, upgrade and look after the problem in Laragon. Now that F****** webserver is only laying there, says it is started, but does not what it should do: Direct and manage traffic and perform my desired tasks. It doesn't do that. It has stopped working. I am totally fucked up in my head and need my recommended medicine for my blood pressure.

I use Laragon 5.0 Full web server. It's something I do because it's easy to use, but also because it has a feature that's useful to me. It does not create any problems if you need to use a different WWW directory than the default one. That's what's important to me with a web server in addition to MySQL 8.0.29 and PHP. Anything beyond these three is considered a bonus. In the aftermath, Laragon has started behaving strangely and unstable. I have upgraded, newly installed and cleaned up in the registry and followed advice here from people here. The problems just keep building up. So therefore I need a good takeover that has the same 3 functions that I set as a "must" and requirement. Suggestion...?

For the first, i have installed the Laragon 5.0. Full Last night bananamen help me with upgrading my MySQL that comes with the Laragon installation to ver. 8.0.29 But it seems not to be working, I got no access to the MySQL server, whatever i do it won't work. Is it so big differences from previous versions to 8.0.29.?

bananamen, Your solution worked fine. So you had the solution to fix my problem. I am now running MySQL 8 🙂👍

requinix, I looked into the link you gave me, but i have checjed out those downloads before, The only thing happens when i download from MySQL is they try to re-install MySQL workbench. And that is not what i want to do. But i think Bananamen is into something. I will try his slution to when i got more time for it. Thanks for trying requinix.

Thanks to both of you. I will try and promise to give you both feedback on what's working or not. It could be more than just me who met this problem that there is a lot of errors because of different version of MySQL and some other thing i don't remember now. So maybe my feedback could help some other. Right now, u can't write the feedback because i am soaked in work.

I am trying to download latest version of MySQL which seems to be version 8.0.29. But whatever I do it reinstall MySQL WorkBench 8.0.29. I need to upgrade to the latest version of MySQL because of some conflict with my Laragon Web Server. Can somebody guide me on the right path, maybe give me a link to the right place to download the correct and latest MySQL version. Please feel free to tell me what I am doing wrong.

Yes, I'm aware of that. There are many CM Systems that are as leaky as a strainer. That's why I've thought of the familiar ones. It is still an unknown area to me. What made me unsure was that when I read about these, I understood that they were on a separate server where you had to register and point your domain to that server area. Now it shows from previous answers that I have misunderstood this. So, then it's clear. So, I go for Joomla or WordPress and insert my own design in the one I choose from these two. I know these most by name back in time, and a lot has changed since then. Since this will be a site for an association for some friends who have a club for men, where there will only be a few pages with info about the club / what they do, a page that deals with the members, and one for photos to be categorized. In short, this is the most important thing. So, which of the two CMS I mentioned would best suit my purpose? I am also happy to accept other tips if others see that my needs are better suited for them. I do not need a CMS that is as big as WP and Joomla. But is dependent on a database and page with image database and processing. Nice to be able to consult with someone who has experience with these. Database on the server is up to date with PHP, MySQL, etc.

Ok🤔 I was reading a little about it last night and understood it was only possible to get WP and some other ready-to-use CMS as described/asked in the opening, but then I know for sure. After I opened this thread, I found an incredibly good site online. I didn't know it was so many free developed CMS.
