no, people with ie6 or lower are probably not gonna change until their computer explodes and they get a new one preloaded with something better. people who still have ie6 do not care about their web surfing experience at all. they just want whatever info they are searching for and then probably turning off their computer (in most cases, theres always an exception).

really? What would you put instead of the green? (keep in mind that thats the logo color and they wanted lively and to get on with the whole go green be eco friendly thing)

its been said that more than 2 columns is to much for most peoples subconscious but you can do it.

you have your site on shared hosting with other sites? Mind sharing the other site which has DDoS issues? Im pretty curious. Which service are you paying for to protect you? Also for seeming a bit rude myself on that last post. Just got done with a semi heated debate with a client when i read this thread.

After a discussion about goals and pricing i ended up dropping the client. I was thinking though, could i resell this as a template? make any money that way? any suggestions of good sites to do that through? Thanks.

i can read, can you?. Can you read? read this. You say your on a DDoS protection package? Turn off your DDos protection package because its going to deter visitors. Especially if you dont have any problems with DDoS at the moment. Which i doubt you do because you probably have no traffic to your site, much less someone trying to take your site down. I dont know whats confusing about this to you. But i think you need an attitude adjustment. People here are trying to help you. No need to be so rude.

why protect against ddos unless you are having problems with ddos attacking you. those 5 seconds could scare away a lot of people. The text is too dark, cant read it very well. Your nav effect takes too long. i feel like im waiting for the links. I think something simple like rounded corners and a different font could make your site look much more modern.

im using chrome and its telling me to upgrade to chrome. Its not a good idea to only allow certain people based on browser anyways. You could go with a warning message if you really want, but them seeing a messed up version of your site is better than not seeing it at all.

i agree. Although i explicitly expressed to him that this is a one time thing because he was helping out a good friend of mine with a big business deal. However, i do not htink i will be doing it again no matter what the circumstances. That is very good advice. Also they have decided to go with megento and a prebuilt theme now... which is what i suggested in the first place (since they were on such a tight budget). Kinda pisses me off. Ive got the start of a site going. and im doing this for way cheaper than i want too. So i dont want to do anything too time consuming. http://gnm.ericwooley.com my client (barely) says its just not lively enough and its too basic. Anyone have any ideas to liven up the site? I am already gonna change the links so please dont suggest that, those are just temporary

all of them, no roll over effects or seperate colors. the top bar especially doesnt look like links. they all just look like regular text

comon dont be like that, pretty rude. Especially since its not THAT bad. He does have some work that needs done but dont just insult and leave. Why do you think its the worst site ever (which it certainly is not)? not like your all black sites with dark gray text look good...

i dont know how many people are gonna be willng to pay money for this.
