I'm guessing you mean in reference to stealing ideas, not actual content, because stealing actual content is still illegal even with crediting the author.
No I am talking about this suggestion:
well I added backports so I could download ntfs-3g drivers for my dad's old windows hard drive, he wants to back up the files onto the new hard drive, then format that one for more storage space.
Its like when you go to buy a case of Pepsi, and you see Megapepsi, it is made by two different peeps, but is almost the same thing, but people are going to trust the original Pepsi, than the Megapepsi brand.
You could take all your code and write it to a disk, or a RW, so you can keep backing it up, and then people will know you made it on your own.
I currently have a server up and running which is running Debian Etch. I must say I gather tons of information from Thorpe, thank you! Now I have learned from other sites that Debian has a unstable release which is going to be called Lenny. I was wondering who is going to make the big switch, once Lenny becomes stable?
I want to hear what other people have to say before I do so, once it becomes stable.
I have found the righteous path of linux! I still use windows, but only as a VM on my pc!
I think it would really change peoples options, if Microsoft decided to create an operating system based off of the Linux kernel! That also supports exe's! That would be the ultimate operating system! They must make it free though, because that would go against what Linux is really about! They could take a little from Debian!
