Here are some updates from my host o\s Ubuntu Hardy

It is getting better, and better each time, I really like the last one.
-
I could comment ever page of the code, and it still makes no difference, there really is no reasonable solutions, just trust.
-
its better than adding commented code..
I'm guessing you mean in reference to stealing ideas, not actual content, because stealing actual content is still illegal even with crediting the author.
No I am talking about this suggestion:
but if you relly want to feel safe i would put a comment in the code
<!-- roughly based on http://www.sitename.com -->
<!-- all code and content created by (your name -->
most people who think you stole code will see that in the code and be like oh due to the fact that your crediting the source for the design idea

I hear Debian is a great server o\s!
-
well I added backports so I could download ntfs-3g drivers for my dad's old windows hard drive, he wants to back up the files onto the new hard drive, then format that one for more storage space.

I am not too excited, I just want to be up to date. Once Lenny is released, can I go ahead and use apt-upgrade, without changing my sources list?
-
Its like when you go to buy a case of Pepsi, and you see Megapepsi, it is made by two different peeps, but is almost the same thing, but people are going to trust the original Pepsi, than the Megapepsi brand.
You could take all your code and write it to a disk, or a RW, so you can keep backing it up, and then people will know you made it on your own.

well I did apt-get upgrade after I installed all my software, is it possible that I am running Lenny right now?
-
If, and when I do make the switch, will it damage any of my data, and will I have to re-configure everything?

I think eventually most computers will just be dummy terminals, little more than a keyb/mouse/monitor, hooked up to the "internet." Or maybe VR gloves and eyewear. Or just hook a wire directly into your brain from some wall socket. Humans will plug in and become like individual brain cells to make up AI.
Matrix?
I hope not, I like to have total access to my computer.
-
holy crap, is that all going to be included? If so, can I request some software to be included?
-
so whats new in Ibex? Is it just a Kernel Update?
-
Thanks, now I hear Ubuntu is making a update!! I just installed Hardy!
-
Really, how did it become banned?

I currently have a server up and running which is running Debian Etch. I must say I gather tons of information from Thorpe, thank you! Now I have learned from other sites that Debian has a unstable release which is going to be called Lenny. I was wondering who is going to make the big switch, once Lenny becomes stable?
I want to hear what other people have to say before I do so, once it becomes stable.

meaning the Debian policy, not its framework.

I have found the righteous path of linux! I still use windows, but only as a VM on my pc!
I think it would really change peoples options, if Microsoft decided to create an operating system based off of the Linux kernel! That also supports exe's! That would be the ultimate operating system! They must make it free though, because that would go against what Linux is really about! They could take a little from Debian!

I have always wonder this, now I know!

Yeah. I finally just got a wireless card for my desktop that actually has sound. But for the last 2 months I've had no sound on my laptop..the internet computer. So no instantly gratifying multimedia like youtube, etc.
I have 1gb flash drive I've been using to send my videos and songs to my desktop. Annoying chore.
Could the be the beginning of a Debian Server?
-
just make the image format a gif, PS has trouble with those

Linux == Unix
Unix != Linux
BSD == Unix
