Garethp
Ok, so my old playlist got very boring, and now I need a new one. I'm into Techno/Trance. A good example of what I like is I have no knowledge of music, so it would be great if you could name some song I might like
.josh
go to last.fm they have it setup to where you can enter in an artist you like and play their 'radio station' and it plays artists similar to them.

Pandora does the same thing. I found a bunch of new bands with this technique.

I guess they limit you to 40hours month for free, which I can't understand because they have ads all over the place. I'm pretty upset by it, because I had a nice station created in pandora. .josh
so far i haven't been hit up by anything from last.fm. They do have a limit to how many times you can listen to a song before it only lets you listen to 30s of it. But they don't really enforce it all that much. You can listen w/out even registering. I heard about the limit but I haven't been hit with any paid subscription offers. I'm mostly using Pandora on my iPhone at work. I'll have to check out last.fm. Garethp
I went to Pandora, but apparently they won't allow people outside the USA, and I don't know a way to bypass that
Zane
Just the other day Pandora hit me up with that "pay us something" bs. Askin for a dollar or 36 dollars. Either way, I couldn't use pandora no more. I knew there was another one out there somewhere ... thanks CV
