The Little Guy
I got this in an email, I read it and it sounds like a good deal, but my question is it a good deal or is it a rip off or a scam? http://www.dtv4pc.net/hyd/blue/main_nflf/se/index.php If it is a good deal, and not a scam or rip off, I would like to get it what do you think? PugJr
Well, the websites been active (According to Alexa.com) since Start of 2008. I'm sure if you google searched if its a scam or not or the pros/cons, I'm sure you will come up with plenty of articles. zq29
Unless they're Free To Air channels, it sounds dodgy to me. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/176259-2000-tv-channels-for-a-50-one-time-fee/#findComment-928994 Share on other sites
cags
I think the first 6 words of the OP sums up the likelyhood of it being legit. But maybe thats just me being cynical. I did a quick google search of the domain and found a few reviews. Mainly they said the quality wasn't up to much and that the channel count is only so high due to dozens of text-and-chat and shopping channels. The quick review I read lists BBC as being available which sounds very dodgy to me. As far as I'm aware it's illegal to watch even BBC iPlayer without owning a TV license. Adam
What about freeview then? I think that's got about 5 or 6 BBC channels.. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/176259-2000-tv-channels-for-a-50-one-time-fee/#findComment-929082 Share on other sites
cags
Yes it does, but whats your point? I know it's called Freeview, but it's still illegal to watch without a TV licence. dreamwest
In austrilaia you can get a usb plugin for 30 bucks that gets every channel in Australia for free. It also has the ability to receive any channel in the world, if your ariel/dish is strong enough. Something like this could be modified to receive receptions from the internet instead of an ariel Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/176259-2000-tv-channels-for-a-50-one-time-fee/#findComment-929344 Share on other sites

Garethp
Never ever trust a site that charges a once off fee, unless they have monthly subscriptions and their once off is really high. After all, how are they meant to keep their servers running when they run out of customers? And for that they would need a nice plan, with tonnes of bandwidth. Trust me, it's a scam Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/176259-2000-tv-channels-for-a-50-one-time-fee/#findComment-930834 Share on other sites
