waynew Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I've been playing online the past two months or so and everything was fine up until about a week ago. Firstly, sometimes whenever I hit the middle black PES button on my controller while online, my friends list and other options wouldn't show up. They'd just show a continuous loading image. Then when I'd try to get back out and back into the game, the screen would just stay on that see-through black colour, as if it couldn't get back out of it. So I decided to not press the middle black PES button anymore, and everything was fine. Then I noticed that whenever I was playing COD4 online and I wanted to switch match type (from say Team Deathmatch to Mercenary Deathmatch), my PlayStation would just freeze, forcing me to turn the power off. So I decided, "hey, I like Team Deathmatch, so what the hell". This morning, I tried playing Team Deathmatch and everytime I joined a match lobby, my PlayStation would just freeze up on me. I've turned off my router, and restarted it; to no avail. I've wiped the disk and made sure they're aren't any scratches on it. Has anyone got any idea what the hell might be going on? I only really play COD4 online, so these problems have only been experience while playing said game. I know mine (larger size) is stuck in a cubby and gets really hot from time to time, typically have to let it cool down for a bit. The night before last, I had a few friends in my "party", so I went for team deathmatch instead of mercenary team deathmatch. However, yesterday morning, I went to change back again. It seems that I can only change match type if I have people in my party. As for the reason that causes it to freeze? Stumped. Seems to be happening on COD WAW too.
