ConnorSBB
Index Coding is going well! We now have categories set up. Anyone know how to make it show the totals for the cat/forums and link to the latest topic?
JAY6390
You should really brush up on SQL if you cannot achieve this as they're basic queries You need to use COUNT() to count the number of threads and use the WHERE clause to only select the rows in that particular category As for the latest topic, it's just a case of ordering by date and limiting to 1 where the post's parent forum is the current forums id
ConnorSBB
We had tried something like that I believe.
merylvingien
From what i can see from the link you supplied, you are about 10 years from a release date! Can i ask why another forum software? Is it going to be free or paid? Personaly i think you would be well advised to take a moment, look at some of the other forum software providers out there, and ask yourself "is it really worth it"? smf = free mybb = free There are two straight off the top of my head that are pretty cute forums with a whole bunch of features that is going to take you a LONG time to catch up with... Maq
Hi ConnorSBB, If you would like people to test your forum software, I can move this to the more appropriate "Beta Test Your Stuff" section.
premiso
On that note as well, if you are looking for help with a particular problem, it is better to post that question in the Help sections with a thread of it's own instead of in this generic type thread.
