Just a Solve Topic Idea..

Recommended Posts

Feel free to download SMF and make the module and submit it to the admins.

I am sure if you make it and test it, they wouldn't have a problem implementing it.

Maybe some time in the future, Was just a suggestion I was putting out there...

POST & MARKED SOLVED

You create a thread to ask for help, not solve your own question. We are otherwise pretty obsolete. Just imagine:

SomeDude
The current US president
on: Today at 12:30:22 AM

I was wondering who is the current US president???

SomeDude
Re: The current US president
on: Today at 12:40:28 AM

Barack Obama

Now imagine the entire forum being like this..

SomeDude
str_split
on: Today at 12:30:22 AM

What does str_split() do?

SomeDude
Re: str_split

??

Its has always been the original poster that has the power the solve the thread? This is exactly the same thing as our current system except the button is moved and placed beside the buttons which you make a post in haha...

Everytime a thread has been solved, the onwer has a button he can click to solve the thread, we can do the same thing except to make life easier you can make a POST & MARK TOPIC SOLVED button beside the POST button... I dont see what your saying here bro.

12. Do not quote entire posts in the same thread, especially not if they're long. Quote the part you are commenting on or responding to.

Why would you quote an entire post that is already in a thread? Can we not read it above?

EDIT:

Reported the above post.

Blow me. I've got a written exception to that rule from an admin.

From the TOS:
