Pikachu2000
To remove all data from the table: TRUNCATE TABLE tablename Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/272631-sql-delete-statement/#findComment-1402890 Share on other sites
yerac8
Should it be written as $result = mysql_query("TRUNCATE TABLE sales_matrix_new WHERE (row_id =$j_counter AND col_id =$k_counter)"); or just TRUNCATE TABLE sales_matrix_new; Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/272631-sql-delete-statement/#findComment-1402891 Share on other sites
Jessica
You either want to clear ALL entries in the table, or you want to clear SOME with a where clause. Which is it? DELETE does not allow column names or *. You delete the whole row. If you were checking for errors it would help. requinix
...and TRUNCATE TABLE will delete everything - it doesn't take a WHERE. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/272631-sql-delete-statement/#findComment-1402894 Share on other sites
