Ok, so it's coincidental that the site happened to re-emerge on Easter Sunday, but it seems appropriate nonetheless.

In short, the RAID server had multiple disk issues and had to be rebuilt.

Our databases and innodb logs were terribly corrupted and had to be either removed or restored from backups, after doing some time-consuming mysql administration.

It took far too long for all this to happen, but at the end of the day, those of us who have been a part of this community for over a decade now, are happy we have our little home in the php-verse back.

Welcome back, and thanks for your presence and support.

Glad to see the site back up and running. I've never heard of such problems. How did it happen?

Disks go bad.  Owner of the hardware is busy living his life, so this isn't exactly his top priority, but he made time for this and eventually we got things back running again.

Thanks to Zane for his persistence and ultimately, Eric for keeping his baby alive.
