How to style a single <td>

I have this Contact Form, that I'm trying to add a captcha element to it. The captcha script html part is this:

And it looks like (see attached image)

 

How can I style this, and also put some space between the text, the field box, and the numbers box, horizontally?

If you only need one space, use your spacebar.

You could use the margin property in CSS.

input { margin:0 5px; }

HTML will automatically add a single space if you provide it. Any more than that it will ignore. If you want to add more than one space, simply add   for each space you want.

 

Ex: 3 spaces

Dont't do that. Instead of cluttering your markup with non-breaking spaces or hard line breaks, use CSS for styling (as already mentioned by cyberRobot).

My bad. I was only answering in pure HTML. I assumed no CSS answer since it was in the HTML forum. But agreed, I wouldn't use   either and would prefer the CSS solution.
