dil_bert
10 Quand ils aperçurent l'étoile, ils furent saisis d'une très grande joie. in Calc- i nave to cut the leading number and put it into a own colum - is this doable note - i have several thousand lines love to hear from you Edited July 13, 2017 by dil_bert

kicken
Calc? I'm assuming they are refering to Openoffice / Libreoffice's version of Excel. in Calc- i nave to cut the leading number and put it into a own colum - is this doable Not with just Calc as far as I know. If you can pre-process it in another editor first to introduce a separator between the numbers and verses such as a tab then you could import it as a tab (or whatever) separated text document. For example, if you use an editor with regex replacement support you could do a find and replace along the lines of: Find: ^ *([0-9:]+) * Replace: \1\t To tab-separate the data then import it into Calc as a tab-delimited document. requinix
And what about your other thread? It's annoying seeing the same question in two different places with two different people giving two different answers.
