shawnplr
My first php script gives three day forecast by IP. Pretty much US only for now. Does it work for you? http://www.carptool.com Defaults to Chicago if your city is unknown. shawnplr
Thanks for the help. Looks like GeoIP is smarter than weatherforyou.com. Think I have to have that format though. So, I'm going to have to learn rss. Thanks again. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/37267-solved-ip-forecast/#findComment-178372 Share on other sites

shawnplr
Just uploaded the newest database. But when I checked both of the missed cities on the web demo it was still missing them. Also checked them with ip2location demo. It missed too. A friend of mine here does the same. He has an old static IP and our ISP has switched to dynamic I think that has something to do with it. ??? dustinnoe
Didn't work for me but I'm on a military installation and it says a different base. Probably has to do with the way they route traffic. Balmung-San
From my work location it puts me as New York, when I'm really in Maryland. To make things more interesting, my company's main building is in Virginia. It seems to me like 1 + 1 = 4 in my case. Â I'll check it from home later to see if that's right.
