ShoeLace1291
Is there a way to automatically make a background image 100% the width of the user's screen? AndyB
Not that I've ever come across (unless it tiles seamlessly, of course) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/70699-attribute-for-100-background-width/#findComment-355405 Share on other sites
KillerWolf
if you find a way let me know, i always have to use a script to reload the screen upon the size diffrence and reset it to 100% Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/70699-attribute-for-100-background-width/#findComment-355408 Share on other sites
moberemk
There is a way, but that's in CSS3; so basically, in a decade or so, then yeah, there is a way. dbrimlow
Not that I've ever come across (unless it tiles seamlessly, of course) That may be what he is looking for, guys. If you have a graphic that can seamlessly tile, then, YES, it can be a 100% screen width (and height) background. For instance, here is an image I use: Here is how I use it: http://www.bluesmandeluxe.com Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/70699-attribute-for-100-background-width/#findComment-357926 Share on other sites
ShoeLace1291
Hmm.. nope i meant so that it stretches the image. Not tile. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/70699-attribute-for-100-background-width/#findComment-360574 Share on other sites
ToonMariner
no there is no solution to your problem with just css... you can set a background colour as well as an image - this can create some nice effects if you have a couple of sides of your image that are the same colour... if you could provide and example of what you want then that would help enourmously...
