  1. In the top right, do you see any images when you click the square and presents your name / logout / etc.?
  2. I just liked yours on mobile? Do you see the like button at all, or does it give any errors?
  3. Hello! We've updated our forums to the latest version of IPB - which includes the following new features: Upgraded editor The editor has been updated to include better Code & Quote features as well as numerous performance updates. Topic Solved The topic solved feature was originally a home-brewed solution that we ran on PHP Freaks. Now, we're glad to say that IPB has this by default and we've enabled it on our forums. This is great because the following features are enabled: You can select an individual post to be the "Best answer" instead of generalizing the topic. This answer is then provided at the top of the topic. Clicking the "Solved" tag on the forum view will take you directly to the best answer. Forum views now include an option to view only (un)solved topics. Better Sharing You'll notice in the topics that there is a share icon next to the post number (at the top right of each post). You can now share individual posts via this. Many Backend changes There have been numerous changes what our staff can do, as well as updates for more spam prevention. Anything to help make our staffs' lives easier is a win in my book! In any case, with an update there is always a chance for an issue or two to pop up. Please let us know in this topic of any issues you might have spotted. We thank you for your patience and continued support!
  4. It won't be too long before we upgrade

    Hello!

    Hi Mikey!

    Hello all

Oh hai there I kid, I kid!
  8. D'oh! http://thenextweb.com/facebook/2013/02/08/apparent-issue-with-facebook-connect-is-dragging-people-from-around-the-web-to-a-moot-error-page/
  9. Yes, let's!
  10. So I'm sure many of you have heard of Jeff Atwood, creator of StackOverflow. In a recent blog post, he released a new product: Discourse. I've had some time to play with the demo, and honestly, I hate it and IMO it isn't intuitive to use... not even close. Thoughts?
  11. Yup he gets to buy the first round
  12. Welcome to having a shiny new badge @Christian F., you've earned it! Your decoder ring should be in the mail shortly
  13. Ewwww its all so gross. Make the tags clickable, or at the very least highlight only the tags not the separators too Could use some color throughout Footer alignment feels off (not centered)
  14. Ironic that you mention that; they recently updated their design, which IMO makes it easier to use. Still not the clearest, but it is a step in the right direction. @OP - what you are suggesting sounds like what is built into most IDEs (syntax hinting). While useful, I wouldn't visit a 3rd party to do it. Integrate it into let's say, this forum, or other web app, sure. But a stand-alone site? Not useful IMO.
  15. Instead of storing all of the possible values, store only the booked ones. Then create a loop that goes through all of the possible time slots and checks against if there is an entry for that slot or not.
  16. I believe we have an account, just need to remember what the username was
  17. (I've added a poll to the original topic)
  18. I played for the full hour today and 2 things stand in the way for me to get the game: City size... Within ~35min I had completely filled up my entire city (ended up with 13.5k citizens, +$9k revenue). This is frustrating for me; I enjoy building large, complex cities that require multitasking to run. Again, look at Anno. I can play that for ridiculous amounts of time because it is so complex. DRM - While I don't necessarily have an issue with DRMs, they need to be done right. Always having to connect to the server to play single player? Fuck that. I'm not sure if you noticed, but earilier this weekend there was quite a bit of downtime during the [already short] beta. Why can't I play the game I bought because EA can't upkeep their servers? Beyond stupid IMO. See http://imgur.com/a/8gNl2#0 for someone else's same thoughts... With that said, I did have a decent amount of fun still. If they at least increase the city / region size, I'd buy it. I'm still on the fence otherwise.
  19. Better hurry. You get a 1 hour playable demo (you can repeat it unlimited times), but it's only available through Sunday night. So far, my thoughts... The good Graphics are pretty good, albeit cartoonish More complexity. I love me some complex games. (Just look at Anno 1404 / 2070 - I loooove those) Similar to above, more buildings.. although they are locked in the beta Again, similar to above, the ability to trade services & what not. Pretty cool they finally allowed it. The bad Cartoonish feel gets old, quickly Constantly getting annoyed by your citizens. Dialog popups everywhere. Just let me build dammit! The ugly The squares are way too small for large cities. Yes you can build multiple cities, but I loved being able to build huge cities. This seems like it is no longer an option. Closed beta is so limited, it's not even funny. Those that were on the waiting list didn't get keys, nor those that pre-ordered through Origin. But I got one for pre-ordering through Amazon. Seriously, wtf?
  20. So, beta came out today. I played a bit on my lunch break... Overall... meh. It definitely needs some polishing (it is a beta, so this is to be expected). It takes some getting used to it and I could see myself enjoying it... but as of now, it's TBD if I'll pre-order or not.
  21. Have to agree with this. I find that site hard to use. A usability study should have been done on the design.
  22. One of our clients paid over $18mil for a redesign.
  23. I, uhh, don't see the difference between trying to recruit on our forums vs. our IRC channel. In any case, 95% of the time, these recruiting posts never work. You'll always end up with sub-par people and end up doing most of the work yourself (even if not in the beginning, you'll go back to clean their shit up later). Plus, to me it looks like you're just wanting a group to chat with and exchange ideas / work on stuff together. That's one of the reasons this forum & our IRC channel is available - to share knowledge and experience. Sometimes we'll work on projects together, sometimes we'll bounce ideas back and forth, and other times we just like to chill and hang out.
  24. I use MySQL workbench, mainly on windows. It's not the best that's for sure. I'm interested in seeing other options as well.
  25. What browser / OS are you running?
