Anybody play? I just activated an account. I think someone should offer me some gold to start a character on their server.

okay seriously, I think it has been long established that this isn't really a proper poll, since you wouldn't normally *choose* sessions over cookies. thread closed.

jesirose has requested that I explain to everybody that her sentence was in fact right, because she feels some of you may be too stupid to realize it, and therefore might actually believe my accusations against her sentence and somehow "look down" on her, or something. I was just having a bit of fun with jesirose. I honestly thought that that would have been pretty obvious to anybody who cares, but apparently jesirose was not amused, so I'm sorry for "poking" at you jesirose. I also thought that my little "exchange" between you and I would have helped you realize something: pointing out people's lack of grammar and spelling skills serves no purpose in life except for to make them feel bad and make you look anal, and well, all those other big words you called me. It doesn't really matter who is right. Does it really solve the problem at hand? I hope that you look at all the anger you have felt towards this little banter, and think about how it makes other people feel when you do it to them, because be honest, you do have a hangup about grammar and spelling.

don't lie. You know you turned red and made a poopie face. Grammar and spelling are your buttons and you know it.

if you had bothered to read the other posts and threads on those subjects, you would know why we disabled them.

lol i love it when you get all angry, jesirose. It's just so cute.

I'm not missing the point at all. I understand the importance of using proper grammar and spelling to accurately communicate with people. I just thought it a bit funny and ironic that you would jump down his case for improper grammar and spelling, when you yourself don't do it.
-
Umm, sorry to be anal, such and all, but I meant the other "is." "This is why grammar and spelling are important." And it still seems like an incomplete sentence. Perhaps if you change "This" to "That," although, I think it's the lesser of the two evils. It is more like the thought, rather than the sentence, makes it incomplete. What you should have written was something like this (example to illustrate my point): "Communication is very tricky; that is why grammar and spelling are important." or "Grammar and spelling are important because communication is very tricky." or "It is examples such as this that make grammar and spelling important." or, etc..
-
Isn't that an incomplete sentence? Also, shouldn't it be "are," not "is?"

what do you mean by "knock down?" As in, it pushes them down to the next line underneath the ad block?

From a search tool perspective, if you can search for anything under the sun, and youtube has just about everything under the sun.. i can see why google would buy youtube.

Want to create a "Application for Joining Car Club"

honestly, i've never heard of it until this thread. If you are looking for help on hacking/modding their script, I would suggest the 3rd party forum, or better yet, their own support forums. -
[SOLVED] selecting the next record from my db
.josh replied to ballhogjoni's topic in PHP Coding Help
...okay, so you still haven't really answered my question....so... those 6 queries to 6 different tables you have, are because you only have 6 tables, and that you want to get all of the info (all of the columns) from each row from each of those 6 tables. Is that right? If that is right, then I have to assume that each one of those 6 tables might not have the same amount of rows, so you're going to have to make a seperate loop for each one of them. Each loop would look like this: <?php $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM contactinfo ORDER BY id"); // loop through each row in the $sql result source while ($list = mysql_fetch_array($sql)) { // create an array where each element is the info from the fetched row $contactinfo[] = $list; } $sql1 = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM question2checkbox ORDER BY id"); // loop through each row in the $sql result source while ($list = mysql_fetch_array($sql)) { // create an array where each element is the info from the fetched row $question2checkbox[] = $list; } // etc... do the same thing for all of the queries ?> So now you would have 6 different arrays, all named after each of your tables, that will have all the rows in each of the tables. Then in your html where you want to display it, you would loop through each array. example: <?php echo "<table border = '1'>"; foreach ($contactinfo as $val) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>{$val['column1']}</td>"; echo "<td>{$val['column2']}</td>"; echo "<td>{$val['column3']}</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; echo "<table border = '1'>"; foreach ($question2checkbox as $val) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>{$val['column1']}</td>"; echo "<td>{$val['column2']}</td>"; echo "<td>{$val['column3']}</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; // etc.. etc.. do for each array ?> you can actually combine those 2 things to remove the need for making an array for each set of data, depending on what kind of layout you're trying to accomplish here. But overall, I agree with thorpe. To the best of my understanding, I have given you an example of what I think you are wanting to do, and it, well, as thorpe said: wreaks of poor db design. -

so...what's your question? I mean, obviously you want to figure out how to do all that, but do you have a specific question? What have you got so far? What exactly are you stuck on? -

i still don't get it. are those 6 tables the ONLY tables you want to pull info from, and you want to make a loop that will display each row in each table? Or do you have MORE THAN 6 tables and you are wanting to make a loop that loops through each table? -

what exactly are you wanting to increment here? Are those 5 queries examples of what you want to do, as in, you have a list of tables you want to query? Those tables don't appear to be in any kind of pattern that can be incremented. There are methods of finding out all of the tables in your database and then running a loop to query each one, if that's what you want to do. But you're going to have to be more specific in what you are trying to do. -
LoL wtf. Is EVERYTHING on youtube these days?

Once again, the concept here (as it is everywhere else under the eSun) is that someone out there has to pay for the site being up. In order to keep the users from having to pay, ads are placed. That's the easy part of the concept that everybody gets. What people don't seem to get is ad visibility. What's the point in putting ads up that nobody will see? Why would companies pay anybody to put ads up that nobody is going to see? Now, you may say you get it, but obviously you don't; otherwise, you wouldn't be complaining about how "bothersome" they are. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just tired of people always going places, and are more than happy to exploit the free-ness of the place, and yet complain about things like ads. If you want an ad-free, or ad-invisible environment, then find somewhere that offers a paid subscription service. That way, you can pay them $x.xx a month or whatever, and login to an ad-free place.

I would have posted a picture of Ron for you. Surely that would have scared the hiccups away. Just fyi: when I first saw the title of this thread, I thought you were making a drunk inspired post.

Yeah it's kind of like real life: You can't just take back what you say. Boy I sure wish I could, sometimes...

first thing I notice at a glance, is your condition in your authenticate.php && conditions get tested before || conditions. If anything turns out false, you get redirected to notallowed.php. You need to use some ( ) to specify the order you want things to be evaluated. But also, I suggest you break that condition up.
