Dynamic Table in Repeated Region - Same ID's for all shown REcords
cmgmyr replied to derbystar16's topic in PHP Coding Help
do you have a live page or an example that we can look at? -
NULL pretty much means "empty"...that section of data is not filled.

First this is done with CSS and you should use classes instead of ID's. Check this out: http://www.somacon.com/p338.php -
Dreamweaver 8 is awesome

...All I can hear is Peter on "Family Guy" saying that

Well I think the bottom line is that MS isn't going anywhere or is even really going to hurt from anything else out there. Microsoft, Windows, Office, ect. are house hold names and they will never go away. As far as free open source stuff goes...yeah most of it is pretty good BUT people aren't familiar with it and don't feel comfortable with it being free. For example whenever anyone asks me about a good anti-virus for their computer I always tell them Avast. I also mention that it is free, but it does a lot better job then Norton or McAfee. It's lighter but more powerful, plus I get virus updates like 2-3 times a day! But people are a little stand-offish about it because it is free and not a house hold name (like norton). So anyways I don't think the open source is even going to be making a dent in MS's business...atleast anytime in the near future. ...you should try that anti virus though it's great!

So, on the way to work this morning I was listening to the radio like I usually do and the DJ started talking about American Idol. He said he was rooting for the white guy with the afro. :) He said that he really likes him AND he looks like Ozzy's son. I thought that was pretty funny. See he is even all over the radio! He'll be the next american idol...

can't preview view PHP files in dreamweaver
cmgmyr replied to steven rowlands's topic in Editor Help (PhpStorm, VS Code, etc)
you have to set up the testing server in the "site". you will have to enter the server document root and also your localhost address. You can find this when you edit the site preferences/locations -
You can go that fairly easily with AJAX (Javascript)

You are very welcome There is one good thing about staying with this job...It will help you get a new one later on down the road. Document EVERYTHING that you do on every project. So when you go into your next interview you can say "I managed X many sites...I did (this) for each site...and (this) is what I can offer YOU when you employ me" Your new boss will pick up that you know how to manage your time and how to reach your objectives when you need to. Your new employer will respect that... Good luck with everything!

...well atleast you and your dolphin (still hanging from the mirror) are OK haha

How about this... 1. Who is paying you the most? 2. Who NEEDS it now? 3. Who isn't a pain in the a**? ...that's who gets your attention first. or you can use a model

Sorry if this is a little late, but I just caught your post... First of all it sounds like your boss is an idiot. He feels threatened by you and if you get a degree he will either have to pay you more, or lose you...SO he doesn't want you to get the degree so those 2 things won't happen and you can keep working for him for crappy pay while he rides you hard into the ground... Currently I do not have a degree, I'm taking my last 2 classes now to finish up my AS (after 4 years part time). I have a full time job as a Systems Manager. They were looking for someone young that kept up on technology and that could bring them more into the 21st century...I don't get paid the greatest amount for what I do by any means BUT I am building LOTS of experience and that's what counts. In the mean time I have a "Full Time" web/computer tech business on the side that keeps me very busy and that I've worked very hard to build. Hopefully in less then 2 years I can be out on my own doing that. So my thought is...pay off your bills like you said and stabalize yourself to where you can get by on a part time job and continue to go to school. If your employer doesn't like that then it won't hurt you at all to leave. Getting a degree will not hurt you at all. I say go for it and better yourself.

nice site! ...I love SOCOM

I feel like it is worth my time to put and hour in now and actually learn and know what I did THEN it will save me that hour (or more) later when I need it again.

You should try position: absolute; bottom: 0; that should attach your div to the bottom of the page at all times. Hint: to clean up your code a little bit you don't need all those divs on the nav links. you could: 1. <a href="index.php" class="navlink">Index</a><br /> 2. Have: #nav a { background-color: #ffecec; text-align: right; color: #ea9898; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; padding: 3px; vertical-align: middle; width: 150px; border-bottom: 1px solid #ea9898; border-right: 1px solid #ea989a; border-left: 1px solid #ea989a; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px; } with <a href="index.php">Index</a> hope that helps! -Chris

select max(yournum) as biggest from table
-
yeah, but my way was a little more straight to the point instead of reading all that... haha
-
A real easy fix is just use a background image for introBar...just take a screenshot of your columns, select a 1px height for the whole way accross and set that as your background image. this way all of your columns will look equal. I hope that made sense

take a look at my site: www.syracusebands.net you might get some ideas here and there. you do have a lot of potential on your site though

Hey all, I was wondering...how do you handle your billings to clients and also support for your sites? I was thinking about making my own billing/support system where my clients can log in check for invoices and pay them and/or put in a support ticket if something has gone wrong with their site/server or whatever, or put in a work request. What are your thoughts/suggestions/advice? Thanks!

And this is why we can all have programming jobs. I am a member on guru.com and for those of you who don't know what that is it is a freelancing site where you can bid on different types of projects. If you don't have an account you should get one, it's great. ANYWAYS I was browsing through new project and I came accross this: Programming Language: Yes, I do require a specific programming language. Desired Programming Language: English Obviously that was mixed in with the rest of the description but it just goes to show that we don't have to worry about the "average" person learning how to code a website...we will always have jobs!!! I got a good laugh out of it, hopefully you will too!
