so far, all that i can find is Open Cart. you will have to search for a while, but i think that you could relatively easily edit the cart to what you want. some editing .png files and css editing and you should be done...i think. looked at zen cart, and a couple more, but they are so horribly huge that i think that there would be some problems editing them. something that i am looking at is called "free php shopping cart script" located here:http://www.freebert.com/dsplus/m.php?p=FPHPSC.zip it looks like you just set up your site (html) and then use the scripts to add cart functionality. take a look...i dont know about security or whatnot, that you will have to look at yourself. anyways, i hope that i helped.

having problems getting images to float in wordpress. what i type in is: <div class="floatleft"><img src="http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dieie.thumbnail.png" alt="die ie" /></div> when i save the file it saves as such: <p class="floatleft"><img src="http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dieie.thumbnail.png" alt="die ie" /></p> i am PRETTY sure that i have the css file set up right, but for safety's sake i will post that too: .floatleft { float:left; margin-bottom:10px; margin-top:10px; margin-right:10px; margin-left:10px; } .floatright { float:right; margin-bottom:10px; margin-top:10px; margin-right:10px; margin-left:10px; } what i am trying to do is make my site and a few others purely from wordpress. it involved editing some code in the templates such as commenting out sections and what not. this is, as i see it, the final hurdle. i dont want to have goofy looking formatting on the site. thanks a lot for any help. all is appreciated.

i have used dvdfab and believe that you can select from scenes with it...not so much clips though. there is a free version out there: http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm you can try it out, and if it doesn't do what you want, it is still free. (and not put out by microsoft!)

How to work out how much your site is worth?
ardyandkari replied to dmccabe's topic in Miscellaneous
that sounds like the best thing that you could do. just about every site that is free has some form of adverts on it. it only makes sense. tell us when the site gets up and running...would like to take a look! -

well, as of 30 seconds ago it isnt worth anything, because it doesn't load...mysql errors but, if you would put up ads (which you should, since it is free) and if you have a large membership base, then wait for a few months, i would think that you could pretty well estimate what 36 months revenue would be... -
how much do you want to make in an hour??? if you want $60 an hour, estimate how long it will take you (i am assuming that you have a decent amount of experience) and multiply it by 60 (or whatever...) then add on an hour or two just in case... thats what i would do...

the story behind my username is pretty dumb and starts about 10 years ago... in jr high i wore a baseball cap to school...friends thought that i looked like a car salesman. what is a good name for a car salesman??? ARDY!!! ummmmm......ok......... it just stuck, and to this day i am called ardy. my wife is Kari, so i just put the two together... not much of a story, but i dont really care.

how to prevent my website from being saved by someone?

:'( WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :'( -
Check spelling...found one error in the portfolio page... also, on the projects page...you should have a screen shot or something for the gruntsrus.com pages, because i dont want to register on a site to view your work... i like the layout and graphics... also, is "John the Freelancer" your company name or something... because i dont think you should have <copyright John the Freelancer> on there...should be company name or your actual name.... just a thought

Got from same site...
-
ethically speaking, i would contact the company and formally request for them to remove the files that you created... speaking about copyrighting, the way that i understand it is that you don't have to "formally" copyright anything...

For those of us who are civilized enough to just answer questions instead of whining about them...took me about 10 seconds of my life FilmGod...probably just as long as it took to cry about the question... taken from http://labnol.blogspot.com/2004/08/google-web-hosting-service-unlimited.html:

firewall software not a problem...configured correctly

how to prevent my website from being saved by someone?
ardyandkari replied to angel777's topic in Miscellaneous
yea, but personally, i think that full flash sites are bloated and annoying...if i want prettyness, i will look in the mirror... i just want something that works...and for that i will NOT look in the mirror... -

hello, i am having a weird problem with my outlook express. if i try to send a message, the email goes to the outgoing mail box as it should, but it never leaves. people receive the mail like they should, but it never gets removed from my outbox and each time that i click send/receive, it re-sends the email. (found this out when someone complained about getting ten identical emails) has anyone heard of this problem and how to fix it???

thanks a lot... like i have said in other posts, i am totally new to php, and appreciate all of the help. your changes worked like a charm! dont really understand how (i thought that if you used && it would make sure that both are set, where you can only click one button.....) i really need to take a good class online or something, tutorials just aren't enough... thanks again. ardy

hey, i am making a script where you click a button and it takes you to a specific form. what i currently have is this: <?php $type = $_POST['ResCom']; if (!isset ($type)) { echo '<div align="center"> <form name="ResCom" method="post" action="estimate.php"> <p>Click on the type of cleaning project you want an estimate on. </p> <p> <input name="Res" type="submit" id="Res" value="Residential"> <input name="Com" type="submit" id="Com" value="Commercial"> </p> </form> </div> ';} elseif ($type = 'Residential') {echo 'Residential';} else {echo 'Commercial';} ?> it isn't recognizing that $type is set... (i also tried saying else if ($type = 'Res')... i'm very confused, but you guys will probably find the problem in two seconds and make me feel stupid... thanks in advance. ardy
