We upgraded to SMF 2.0 today.  It had some major changes including CSS changes and we lost some of our mods.  Among these are:

No topic solved

Smaller code box/quote box font

New font style

The header is a bit messed up

We know and we are working on it.  Also,  new stuff added:

Warn system: Mods can now warn you and after so many warns you get auto banned by the system

Cleaner layout

WAP2 support

We are still looking at what all was added/changed. Any question please post here.  DO NOT START A NEW TOPIC! WE WILL CLOSE IT AND POINT YOU HERE!

"Jump to" menu, bottom right:

Selecting a forum category (eg General Discussion) no longer scrolls the index page to that section.

Must be a bug...

 tags

no longer give a code-like box.

You probably have an old version of the stylesheet cached.

The staff link at the top is missing but coincidentally if you look down at the bottom where it shows the users online, there are links to the different groups that show a list of who all is in the different groups.

This is why I prefer to work with version numbered css style sheets instead. If I make a change on one of my site's css style sheets (say home_stylesheet2-0.css for the index page for example), I resave as home_stylesheet2-1.css, delete the older version and put up the newer one.

In my php index page, I use glob() to find a .css file with the word 'home' in it (there is only one .css file containing this), and plugs what it finds into <link href> tag. This way, the change WILL be automatically reflected when a previous visitor checks the site again (even with the older version cached in their browser).

The staff page was a mod. A rather crappy one I might add.

Too bad in this version SMF dropped the bread crumb navigation from the bottom of the pages. It was always both at the top and the bottom of thread/forums. Quite useful after finishing reading a thread, instead of scrolling all the way back to the top. But I guess I am just lazy :P

My fingers are so accustomed to hitting the Home key that it wouldn't even make a difference.

Why creepy, I thought it was a particularly useful mod. :\

Not creepy, but crappy. I'm talking implementation-wise. The code sucked and so did the database structure it used. Sure it was useful. Now you should be able to view the all the members in the different groups by clicking on the items in the legend in the online list at the bottom of the home page. E.g. admins or mods.

Ctrl+F5 to refresh your cache, ProjectFear.  It should come back.  I had the issue too.

Cheers, I should have read Barand's post properly.

@Daniel0: Did I read creepy? :P My bad, long day. :D

Yeah I knew it was a mod.  Just thought I'd put it on the list of things that have changed, so someone could eventually get to putting it back up.  But I also thought to mention the built-in staff links in case we decided not to put the mod back up.  Judging by your response, I do not foresee that mod going back up, lol.

I got the bread crumbs working.  I'll work on the disclaimer next. I think I may hard code the disclaimer in instead of depending on the Ad Mod.  Anyways,  Bread Crumbs should be working.

This thread is more than a year old. Please don't revive it unless you have something important to add.
