Garethp
You have a kid? Good lord, adult life must be hell. I'd hate to have a kid. No offense Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/181797-sort-of-back/#findComment-958890 Share on other sites
premiso
I'd hate to have a kid. Having a kid was the single most happiest day of my entire life. I would never trade that feeling for anything. I love having my little girl to share my life with now. I feel sorry for you for feeling that way, as the joy a child of your own can bring to you is nothing short of a miracle. Daniel0
Her first language should be a programming language. English can wait until later. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/181797-sort-of-back/#findComment-959268 Share on other sites
Mchl
Just make sure she indents properly Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/181797-sort-of-back/#findComment-959274 Share on other sites
Daniel0
Just make sure she indents properly Then make her first language Python. She'll get errors if she doesn't indent properly. That'll teach her! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/181797-sort-of-back/#findComment-959276 Share on other sites
premiso
Her first language should be a programming language. English can wait until later. I already told my wife we are starting a family business we need at least 2 more kids so I have 3 programmers on staff She didn't think that was a good idea, but yea. She already helps me code sometimes, smashing the key board and erasing half my stuff is sooo helpful! Alex
Her first language should be a programming language. English can wait until later. Don't we already have enough problems with people not being able to articulate their problems in the help forum(s)? Don't we already have enough problems with people not being able to articulate their problems in the help forum(s)? That's why it's a good idea making her first language a programming language. They're strict on grammar, so she won't get away with sloppy grammar and syntax. There won't be any ambiguity in what she says either. Daniel0
But then she won't have the benefit of being able to program at an early age. Better to use a general-purpose programming language. You could also make her talk in SQL instead of English. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/181797-sort-of-back/#findComment-959285 Share on other sites

premiso
I wonder if she will pass the Turing test. I bet she will, as she will be programmed with AI and has a feature to accept and interpret all kinds of input and learn from that input. jcombs_31
Congrats on the kid. I have a 4 yr old boy and 7 month old girl. I was lucky and both were good sleepers for the most part. Getting up in the middle of the night is what will drain the life out of you. premiso
Getting up in the middle of the night is what will drain the life out of you. No truer words have been said. My little girl, who is 3 months, is starting to go to bed at 8:00pm and waking up at 5:00am to eat then she will go back to sleep till 7, when she is up for good I like that routine, I just hope it sticks! Daniel0
Your kids don't implement the sleep() function? Or maybe it's just buggy. Maybe you should complain to the manufacturer.
