bilis_money
So how is it like? Do you have double vision? Do you still understand the logic of the codes? Are you sleepy?
roopurt18
Not while drunk, but definitely while buzzed. There's no difference in the code quality when I look at it later either.
trq
Like I am now?? Um.... this isn't programming. This is a forum.
redbullmarky
drunk = forget it and go to sleep. you'll just break things. or just go back to the pub. just a beer or two while you work = relaxing and can sometimes actually help, especially when thinking "outside the box"

cmgmyr
buzzed helps the flow a little more...drunk is just messy ...you can only type so much when your forehead is on the keyboard
redbullmarky
...you can only type so much when your forehead is on the keyboard or when your keyboard has been ejected through a hole in the window, depending on what sort of drunk you are... s0c0
Yeah I wrote some php scripts to do a remote backup of my code base and mysql tables last night while buzzed. I only had 4 beers though. I bet if I had doubled that amount and tried things wouldn't have gone so well. Buzzed programming = fun Shnit faced drunk programming = no fun
ober
If you're getting drunk, why are you near a computer? Getting drunk alone is just pathetic.
SharkBait
If you're getting drunk, why are you near a computer? Getting drunk alone is just pathetic. I would have to agree with that. I've come home drunk but programming is the last thing on my mind hehe
s0c0
If you're getting drunk, why are you near a computer? Getting drunk alone is just pathetic. Agreed, but some Friday's I am too tired from working a 50-60 hour week to go out yet I still want to relax. Alcohol is relaxing and programming is my hobby so mixing the two works for me. Just don't make a habit out of it folks.
MadTechie
LOL, coding is the last thing on my mind when drunk.. infact if i have a major project then i try not to drink much (how sad) because i know in the morning all the text would of been set to italics and any code that had errors would of just been deleted!!
