oh!, lol its just an affective way to do that, why waste time on something that is already good?

I asked because I am trying to understand how to position

<div> elements by usning nothing but <div> tags..

Maybe we can work together sometimes. I'll add you

to buddies list.

in the change settings table, make the widths consistant (ie. <table><tr><td width="25%">blah blah</td><td width="75%">the rest</td></tr></table>)

also...not in the area under the date, but under welcome to your account, add this code into your <td> tag: valign="top"

that will make the information appear at the top of the table instead of being in the middle...

its pretty dark...which may be good or bad. if you look around at the web, you will see that most pages fit into the category of "white with a splash of color". you might look at it as "hey, i am sticking out on the internet as opposed to all of these other sites that all look the same..." or you might look at it as "hey, i am sticking out like a sore thumb...and nobody likes a sore thumb...."

work on it, and i will check back once in a while...

oh yea.

the bottom of the page gets discombobulated on my machine...it looks like the bottom table or row is slid all the way over to the left.

I think the height should be done with min-height and height.  Then the bottom of the rectangle will wrap to the bottom of the content rather than being huge.  I am on a laptop and it is 2 screens high.

You could round the box with the navigation, the sign in button would probably look better as a link (just my opinion, that could stay).

I don't care for the colors.  The green looks good with the yellow, but I hate the yellow and I don't see the green fitting with many other colors.

I would also recommend putting the registration form in a table so that it look more organized.

Also, the ad on the registration form would probably do better below the registration, or between the header and the yellow box.

Good luck with your site.

one thing about zelocalz, is that the links are the same text. They should be bold, a different color, just something to say that they are a link so users dont waste time running the mouse over text to find them.

Just a suggestion.

  • 2 weeks later...

this needs some major help, i don't think i need re-iterate the other's opinion of the colors, just take them off.

We all started like this, like you building ugly 1996 style sites.

if you need to get up here with us fast, is to basically copy designs you see instead of creating you own. copy a site that's similar to your and you like, when you develope a design sense, then you can create your own designs.

i admire your ambition, but right now you making every website designer look bad.

keep trying,
