I assume that people with really old computer still use 800 x 600. Or people use that resolution if they don't know how to change it from default.

... or people who don't want to give up their entire working space to a web site because they have other applications running while they browse.

I browsing the critique section of the site a little while ago and there was a post the said that they had to scroll right to see the whole site. This got me thinking. Does anyone still use a 800x600 screen resolution?  ???

The min res i would support is 1024X768 which should be the lowest resolution for most computers now sold(i runn 1440X900(LCD monitor) and 1650X1050(laptop monitor)).

i still design a bit for 800 by 600  its not that often but sometimes i also dont like when a site touches both sides of my screen i hate content that is that wide so that might have something to do with me liking some 800 by 600 designs is that i have space on the sides meh
