[ot]I am happy the "get to know your fellow coder" thread was retired.  Not that I don't want to get to know people, but fuck man, being the 2nd poster in that thread, over 3 years ago, 382 posts (not counting all the ones split/deleted throughout that time).... [/ot]

What I am rather surprised at is that you would think forum developers like SMF would have been requested this as a feature like forever ago. Who wouldn't want to be able to unsubscribe themselves once they have lost interest (or don't want to be constantly bombarded by newer responses) in a thread?

This would almost be akin to flying a jet, only to realise you can't 'unsubscribe' yourself from the plane (read: eject) in the event something goes wrong. You're stuck with it till the end it seems.

EDIT - Good thing SMF doesn't design jets. 0_o

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all passenger jet aircraft is like that...

You're not wrong.. passenger jets don't have ejection seats.. but I wasn't refering to passenger jets.. sorry, should have been more clear (was thinking in terms of fighter jets, as there is a much higher need for them to have ejection capabilities due to the dangerous nature of the craft's purpose).

There's an "Unnotify" button next to reply..

The only works if you subscribed, what they are talking about is when you click on "Show new replies to your posts." it shows everything you ever replied to if there is a new reply to that thread. They would like to be able to filter that list and remove some posts that they originally replied to because it gets annoying seeing some topics there all the time :)
