nrg_alpha
Saw this link and had a looksie: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=50696 It involves a bug complaint / diaolgue exchange between some developer and Rasmus Lerdorf with regards to some behavior involving number_format()... As the dialogue progresses, it becomes clear this developer doesn't know who Rasmus is, and accuses him of never having worked in a change-request-release environment lol Had a good laugh... Maq
A good laugh indeed. A truthful part I liked in particular: Quote Wow, a classic case of how not to treat unpaid volunteers who provide critical pieces of your money-making infrastructure. corbin
It's funny to me that someone that high up in the PHP chain (the top perhaps) actually took the time to respond to that non-sense bug report. lol. Quote Developer: Please escalate this to someone who can answer the question as to why this was changed. Rasmus: Escalate? Oh how I wish I had someone to escalate to. lol Instant classic! oni-kun
I was tired but re-read this in spare time, I couldn't stop laughing! It's always interesting to run into those people, who are so fixated on something they will not listen to any logic no matter what Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/187977-funny-php-bug-report/#findComment-992616 Share on other sites

ignace
Quote Sir. This issue was recently brought to my attention. On behalf of PHP I would like to apologize. I see that now that you have been treated unfairly. After carefully reviewing this bug report with our board of directors on 4chan, we have come to the conclusion that your "rusty C skills" should be enough to fix the issue. I would therefore like to remind you that rasmus@php.net is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasmus_lerdorf Again, I sincerely apologize. We will try to stop fixing bugs in PHP. LOL for a moment I thought he meant it Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/187977-funny-php-bug-report/#findComment-992856 Share on other sites
