Oh really? I didn't notice that - I've integrated 3.0 for the first time on Friday into a new project but haven't actually tested it yet. This might be a deal breaker, unless the license fee is an unlimited use one, not a per-website one...

Use sshfs.
This is how I work on files on my office machine from home, does the job.

mysql_real_escape_string()

It is possible that you have short tags disabled in your php.ini - Replace the <? with <?php and try again.
-
Maybe you could post up what you have tried, and we can guide you as to where you're going wrong?

I'm unsure as to what you want me to explain - It's a loop and two date/time functions.
The loop starts on the start date, and ends on the end date. It adds a day on every iteration of the loop and echos the date at that point. Dates are converted to Unix time stamps, as it's easier to write the code.

Something like this?
$continue = true; if(($shop_open > $shop_close) || ($del_start > $del_end) || ($shop_open > $del_start)) $continue = false; if($continue) { //continue } else { //error }

Not tested...
for($i=strtotime($start); $i<=strtotime($end); $i+=86400) echo date("Y-m-d",$i)."<br />";

(F)CKEditor for me... I believe there is another thread somewhere around that discusses this topic.
I'm guessing you mean this thread?
No, that's for IDEs - I'm sure there was a JS based WYSIWYG editor thread somewhere. Maybe it was behind closed doors...

Kinda like this perl script...

This thread over at Perl Monks explains how it works.

Finally picked up a 3GS yesterday, just waiting for my number to be ported from my previous network. Cool phone though, from what I have played with it so far - This is the first time I have used one before. The on-screen keyboard is surprisingly easy to type on, I might even go as far as saying it's easier than my Blackberry Bold that I switched from.

As it stands it seems that people are kind of ranked based on their 'presence' on the forum, i.e. how many posts they've made. But this doesn't necessarily have any bearing on the persons actual ability. My suggestion would provide a 'Quality over Quantity' approach to users advice.
I would agree in that that's how most people perceive it, and it shouldn't be. We did use a karma system before which is similar to what you're describing but it was disabled for a reason that I can't remember. I'm sure one of the other staff members will pop in and refresh my memory!
-
but, is there anything practical anyone uses it for? At least on a production basis?
I can't remember the last time I used a *nix specific command in a PHP script, but I use the exec() function for interacting with ImageMagick fairly regularly.

even iphone is a flop show in eu, asia etc only people from america uses apple more than anywhere else on earth if im not mistaken? also its so very expensive.
It is next to impossible to get an iPhone in the UK at the moment due to the demand. I called one of the larger stores in London yesterday to check if they had any stock and they said they had 1000 delivered two days ago, and they have already sold them all.

Your VM's should be assigned their own IP addresses, just type their IP address into a browser on another machine and you should reach it's web server.

Yeah that's what I thought but don't loads of actual web design companies use commercial CMS's?
I doubt it, my company has our own custom CMS that we tailor to our clients, and other companies work that I have seen has always been custom too. Although, if you're charging peanuts you can probably get away with re-branding a Joomla (or similar) install, as long as this is disclosed to the client up front.
Like zanus, I wouldn't touch something like Joomla with a barge pole unless we're talking five figures minimum - Its not worth the hassle, frustration and heartache to shoe-horn the required functionality into it. It would be quicker and easier to build from scratch.
To be honest, I can't imagine that a CMS built from a tutorial will be much good either. You need to map out your requirements and construct your plans based on them, module by module.

It's an archive of site defacements. If your website gets cracked and defaced, it might pop up in their archive.

I think I last used them when they were a requirement to wrap around JavaScript back in the day...

This section of the manual should point you in the right direction. Consider using a couple of these functions recursively.

Since when did race denote how "evil" someone is? Sounds retarded to me...
