KrisNz
Komodo! Especially 4.x versions where the project stays in sync with the file system, that was a major pain in 3.x versions. The auto-complete is really good and it supports a lot of languages.
eric1235711
I'd love if I could use Eclipse... Â The problem is that my boss want the people here to work trough FTP... Â Now I'm using E TextEditor + NetDrive. I'm almost buying it, but it still needs some fixes...

ionik
Zend 5... Â bought it and use it now as a professional developer. Â I tried zend 6 and didnt like it to me it brought to many problems when i was developing...wasnt collasping code correctly etc... Zend 5 is by far the best as what I'd say really helps developing. colombian
Well, Â DreamWeaver is not a good PHP editor, it has nothing that makes it stand out for PHP. You might as well be using notepad with color coding. Â Eclipse with the PDT plugin is a real IDE - DreamWeaver's got nothing on it for PHP development. me1000
While it is not specifically a PHP editor Coda by Panic Software is the best editor I have ever used! I really cant even say enough about it!
keeB
Debugging with XDebug within Eclipse is pretty amazing with projects of any relative complexity. That, and project management has been unmatched in the many IDE's I have tried (Netbeans PHP Plugin, Geany, Kate, Vim (Love vim, just no project support (that i know of)) Â I have seen some pretty amazing things that Emacs can do, but their control scheme is way too crazy for me. bastones
Dreamweaver in Code View for me - best thing you can use, especially with it's in-built FTP facility. Before that I used Notepad++ and Programmers Notepad; Notepad++'s FTP section isn't really good at all - you have to refresh the connection and other times the FTP program won't save modified files of mine... at least it did the job? blueman378
i belive that rapidphp is good, one feature i like is it has a live preview similar to dreamweavers (except it acctually displays it properly) and the live preview also parses php, very handy, it has all the features of dreamweaver jsut more php orientated, it has a handy function to install it to your flash drive so you can use it whereever you go, it also has the option to replace the ie source viewer with it
