  1. I need to extract data from this, i need latd , latm and lats. How to search the array and return the values ? result i need $latd = 55 $latm = 56 $lats = 41.19 $url1 = "https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&rvprop=content&format=json&titles=Broadwood_Stadium&rvsection=0"; $ch1 = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch1, CURLOPT_URL, $url1); curl_setopt($ch1, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch1, CURLOPT_PROXYPORT, 3128); curl_setopt($ch1, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, 0); curl_setopt($ch1, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, 0); $response1 = curl_exec($ch1); curl_close($ch1); $response_a1 = json_decode($response1, true); $dist = $response_a1['query']['pages']; print_r($dist) ;
  2. I have a form with a table with columns and many rows. The form uses Post and submits to an insert.php I am looking for an example of how I can insert the table info into a mysql table. I know I should use a while loop but unsure how to step through the form info. Can someone suggest or provide and example that I can follow, or a tutorial somewhere? Thanks
  3. I am getting Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function real_query() on null with this code: public final function Retrieve($TABLE, $CRIT){ $_query = "SELECT * FROM `{$TABLE}` WHERE "; foreach($CRIT as $_field => $info){ $_query .= " `{$_field}` = `{$info}` &&"; } if($this->LINK->real_query(rtrim($_query, ' &'))){ return $this->LINK->store_result(); } else{ return json_encode(array("Error"=>$this->LINK->errno(), "Description"=>$this->LINK->error())); } } (LINK is my mysql_connect() result.) I have tried everything i can think of, ->query, going to mysqli_query, breaking it sown and using a $result variable, but nothing seems to work...
  4. <?php $database = array(); $database['host'] = "localhost"; $database['port'] = '3306'; $database['name'] = "forumtest"; $database['username'] = "root"; $database['password' = "Password"; $link = mysql_connect($database['host], $database['username'], $database['password']); if ($link) { echo "Connected to a database".$database['name']; }else{ echo connect to a database"$database['name'] . "failed<br/>"; echo "Error: ".mysql_error(); } ?> This is my code for a test to connect to a database however, there seems to be a problem with the code as when I try to connect it just gives me a error 500. I would appreciate any help.
  5. I'm trying to convert these 2 existing select queries: //existing records that are expired $expiredCheck = " SELECT sku_id, dealer_id, expire_date FROM dealerplacetest p INNER JOIN skus s ON p.sku_id = s.id WHERE p.dealer_id = :DEALER AND s.build = :build AND s.cov = :cov AND s.col = :col AND p.expire_date <= date_add(convert(:ship,date), interval 7 day) "; //existing records that are not expired $validCheck = " SELECT sku_id, dealer_id, expire_date FROM dealerplacetest p INNER JOIN skus s ON p.sku_id = s.id WHERE p.dealer_id = :DEALER AND s.build = :build AND s.cov = :cov AND s.col = :col AND p.expire_date > date_add(convert(:ship,date), interval 7 day) "; $checkExisting = $MysqlConn->prepare($expiredCheck); $checkExistingValid = $MysqlConn->prepare($validCheck); $existingRslt = $checkExisting->execute($values2); $count3 = $checkExisting->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); $existingVldRslt = $checkExistingValid->execute($values2); $count4 = $checkExistingValid->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); Into one general select like so: //select records alltogether, check for expiration later in loop $expiredCheck = " SELECT sku_id, dealer_id, expire_date FROM dealerplacetest p INNER JOIN skus s ON p.sku_id = s.id WHERE p.dealer_id = :DEALER AND s.build = :build AND s.cov = :cov AND s.col = :col "; $checkExisting = $MysqlConn->prepare($expiredCheck); And then use my existing bound parameters ($values2) to formulate an if statement that will replace the previously existing expiration date check. Basically I've taken the 2 previous expiration date checks from the query and plugged them into the if statement but it fails the '7' in my day interval. I feel like there may be a different syntax standard to use here but I can't seem to find the proper solution. I'm trying to create a $count3 variable for the first check and a $count4 variable for the 2nd check. Here are params and if statement: $values2 = [ ":DEALER" => $row2["DEALER"], ":build" => $row2["build"], ":cov" => $row2["cov"], ":col" => $row2["col"], ":ship" => $row2["ship"], ]; $existingRslt = $checkExisting->execute($values2); while($existingRow = $checkExisting->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)){ if($existingRow["expire_date"] <= date_add(convert(":ship",date), interval 7 day){ $count3 = $checkExisting->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); }elseif($existingRow["expire_date"] > date_add(convert(":ship",date), interval 7 day)){ $count4 = $checkExisting->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); } } I'm just trying to consolidate SELECT queries if possible. What am I doing wrong?
  6. Hi! I have created a script (more like a system) that uses expect. The idea is actually simple: you press a button, PHP opens an expect stream to a telnet, expect_expectl waits for specific output, PHP reads output, based on output PHP sends more data. (Im refering to this PHP module - http://php.net/manual/en/book.expect.php ) I have ran into multiple problems, one of them is that the expect extention seems to be really unstable, it crashes apache and can't really figure out why. Another problem is that sometimes it likes to simply skip an output for no reason and gets stuck in a while loop. Obviously this is happening randomly and I can't find the cause of it (its not the client's fault, the client processes command as it should). Even worse, I can't seem to compile the exepect module on any x64 machine, it seems that the code is not meant to be for 64-bit machine. I have tried a lot of things and basically I'm tired of this module (even gentoo seems to have removed it since PHP 5.3) and I don't think there is anything that can make the expect module work properly on current PHP versions. So my question is: can anyone give an alternative way to deal with these shell interactions? I'm looking at Python's "pexpect", I don't like that its bit tricky to read output from a Python script inside PHP and I don't like that I must use popen. Also found that TCL also has "exepect" which is very similar to Python's "pexepect" and also Perl has it too, haven't really dealt with either of those languages, but it is not anything "out of this world". The best way I can think of is using cgi-bin scripts, I send a request with parameters (IP, command etc.) to a Python/TCL/Perl script which then gives an output. And I can do this in 2 ways, either open a stream and fetch the output (like with popen, still don't like it) or with ajax (since the current page is based on ajax, not a big problem). Whats wrong with SSH? Its slow because of the encryption, telnet is able to proccess commands a lot faster (and on slower devices SSH creates a notable lag). Anyone has any advice?

  8. I have a table full of mac addresses in this format 80828704B0EE I need a method to run a query that will output this format 80:82:87:04:B0:EE I either need to insert the result of the some query that is formatting the existing mac addresses to another field or use a query to format the mac addresses on the fly. I need to create a csv file from this query. I have all that code it is just making the query to format it the way I need it. Here is a query I found that does the trick except that I get two columns, the original and the formatted one. How can I remove the mac column that this outputs? SELECT mac, concat(left(mac,2), ":",substring(mac,3,2), ":" , substring(mac,5,2), ":",substring(mac,7,2), ":",substring(mac,9,2), ":", right(mac,2)) as mac_formatted FROM phones Thanks
  9. Hey. Please help to solve the task Head John very busy lately. And it does not have time to plan the time of your employees manually. So he asked Jerry programmer to write a program that will calculate how much of a certain type of problems his department will be able to solve in the past month. John knows that to solve this type of problem he needs n employees, each of which will deal with a specific case and can not replace the other. Each of these employees will be engaged in the same task ai hours. Total monthly employee fulfills bi hours. Besides John have Jerry, which can be given to the problem of maximum k hours. Jerry can do the work of any other employee, one hour is equal to one hour of Jerry any other employee. John need to understand how the tasks can be performed per month maximum knowing n, k, a1-n, and b1-n Input data The first line is followed by two positive integers n and k (1 ≤ n ≤ 50000, 1 ≤ k ≤ 109) - the number of employees and number of hours of programmer Jerry. In the second line followed by a sequence a1, a2, ..., an (1 ≤ ai ≤ 109), where the i-th number equals the number of hours the i-th employee, required for solving a problem. The third line should be a sequence of b1, b2, ..., bn (1 ≤ bi ≤ 109), where the i-th number equals the number of hours the i-th employee, who is at John. Output Print a single number - the maximum number of tasks that can make the employees of the department with the help of their available hours and programmer Jerry. Examples: Input data 3 1 2 1 4 11 3 16 The result of 4
  10. I am trying out a new script for image upload and resize using ajax method. All the ones I've found so far process the php file through the form action="". Since I am inserting other data into the database and calling the other php code directly on the same page as a the html form, I would like to know if there is another way I can run that specific image upload php code through ajax. This is one the scripts I have looked at . http://www.sanwebe.com/2012/05/ajax-image-upload-and-resize-with-jquery-and-php This is what their html form looks like. <form action="processupload.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" id="MyUploadForm"> <input name="image_file" id="imageInput" type="file" /> <input type="submit" id="submit-btn" value="Upload" /> <img src="images/ajax-loader.gif" id="loading-img" style="display:none;" alt="Please Wait"/> </form> <div id="output"></div> I would like to process the "processupload.php" above through the ajax code below and leave the form action="" empty, as I am running other php code on the same page to insert other data as well. How would you do that? <script> $(document).ready(function() { var options = { target: '#output', // target element(s) to be updated with server response beforeSubmit: beforeSubmit, // pre-submit callback success: afterSuccess, // post-submit callback resetForm: true // reset the form after successful submit }; $('#MyUploadForm').submit(function() { $(this).ajaxSubmit(options); // always return false to prevent standard browser submit and page navigation return false; }); }); function afterSuccess() { $('#submit-btn').show(); //hide submit button $('#loading-img').hide(); //hide submit button } //function to check file size before uploading. function beforeSubmit(){ //check whether browser fully supports all File API if (window.File && window.FileReader && window.FileList && window.Blob) { if( !$('#imageInput').val()) //check empty input filed { $("#output").html("Are you kidding me?"); return false } var fsize = $('#imageInput')[0].files[0].size; //get file size var ftype = $('#imageInput')[0].files[0].type; // get file type //allow only valid image file types switch(ftype) { case 'image/png': case 'image/gif': case 'image/jpeg': case 'image/pjpeg': break; default: $("#output").html("<b>"+ftype+"</b> Unsupported file type!"); return false } //Allowed file size is less than 1 MB (1048576) if(fsize>1048576) { $("#output").html("<b>"+bytesToSize(fsize) +"</b> Too big Image file! <br />Please reduce the size of your photo using an image editor."); return false } $('#submit-btn').hide(); //hide submit button $('#loading-img').show(); //hide submit button $("#output").html(""); } else { //Output error to older browsers that do not support HTML5 File API $("#output").html("Please upgrade your browser, because your current browser lacks some new features we need!"); return false; } } //function to format bites bit.ly/19yoIPO function bytesToSize(bytes) { var sizes = ['Bytes', 'KB', 'MB', 'GB', 'TB']; if (bytes == 0) return '0 Bytes'; var i = parseInt(Math.floor(Math.log(bytes) / Math.log(1024))); return Math.round(bytes / Math.pow(1024, i), 2) + ' ' + sizes[i]; } </script>

  12. I have a page of html tables that are filled by database values through PHP, and there are no problems there. However, I have an issue on one of the tables. I have a pricing table, attached below. The $575 is currently filled from a field in the database that is set from a CSV upload, but the new CSV template is not doing this because it's missing the price field. This is the SQL statement that I'm using in the database, since the price is based off of meterSize, meterType and workOrderType2: UPDATE staging INNER JOIN pricing ON staging.meterType = pricing.meterType AND staging.meterSize = pricing.meterSize AND staging.workOrderType2 = pricing.workOrderType SET staging.onsiteTestSurveyPrice = pricing.price This works, but only with the original template, so I'm looking into doing this strictly in PHP with the table/row values, if possible. An example of what I'm looking for, using the html table and PHP: If $row['meterSize'] contains 3", $row['meterType'] contains COMPOUND and $row['workOrderType2'] contains ONSITE SURVEY AND TEST then $575 should go in <td><? echo $row['onsiteSurveyTestCost'];?> </td> Here's the code for those 3 conditional table rows: <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Meter Type:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['meterType'];?> </td> </tr> <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Meter Size:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['meterSize'];?> </td> </tr> <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Service Preformed:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['workOrderType2'];?> </td> </tr> Is there a way to do this? I have multiple prices that are based on multiple conditions, but If I could figure out how to do this once then I can alter the values accordingly. Basically I want to mirror the db/SQL statement only with strictly PHP and the values in each table row. How can I do that, if possible?
  13. hi, guys i'm trying to create a commenting system to posts in a example site. And i can't seem to print the exact comments to its original post. i created two tables updates and comment_update and kept os_id as the common table row, where it is refering to update_id of updates table. everything seems ok except for the loops which is screwing up the output. Any advice on how to rectify it as i tried with while & other loops everything gives the same problem. here is my code for that logic: <?php $status_replies=""; $statusui_edit=""; $status2view=$project->statusView($_SESSION['uname']); foreach($status2view as $row){ $updateid=$row['update_id']; $account_name=$row['account_name']; $os_id=$row['os_id']; $author=$row['author']; $post_date=$row['time']; $title= stripslashes($row['title']); $data= stripslashes($row['update_body']); $statusdeletebutton=''; $sql1="select * from updates,comment_update where comment_update.os_id like updates.update_id and comment_update.type like 'b'"; $sql2="select * from updates left join comment_update using (os_id) where comment_update.os_id=:statusid "; $stmth=$conn->prepare($sql2); // $stmth->bindparam(":either",$_SESSION['uname']); //$stmth->bindparam(":statusid",$updateid); $stmth->execute(array( ":statusid"=>$updateid)); $status_reply= $stmth->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); foreach ($status_reply as $row) { $status_reply_id=$row['comment_id']; $reply_author=$row['author']; $reply_d=htmlentities($row['comment_body']); $reply_data= stripslashes($reply_d); $reply_osid=$row['os_id']; $reply_date=$row['time']; $reply_delete_button=""; if ($reply_author==$_SESSION['uname'] || $account_name==$_SESSION['uname']) { $reply_delete_button.="<li><span id='$status_reply_id' class='delete_reply_btn glyphicon glyphicon-remove'><a href='#' title='Delete this comment'>Remove X</a></span></li>"; } if ($updateid==$reply_osid) { $status_replies="<div class='replyboxes pull-left reply_".$status_reply_id."'>Reply by:-<a href='search_results.php?u=".$reply_author."'>".$reply_author."</a>" .   15. Hi all, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction, I have 2 questions. 1. I want to have an option drop down which uses the array of a returned sql query. I have the following code which uses onchange to submit the selection, how do I use the mysql_fetch_array($result1) to give a list of the two selected columns in the $Site=array() bit. 2. The selected result will be used in more SQL select statements, so once a site from the list is selected the relevant data from other tables will be displayed using e.g. select person from people [some inner join statement] where site="site 1"; Therefore the $_POST value must be available to be passed to other queries once selected. Thanks for any help, I still feel like a noob, but I'm getting there. Gary <?php include 'header.php'; ?> <div class='container'> <?php include 'menu.php'; ?> <?php include 'connect.php'; ?> <?php $sql1="SELECT Sites.Site_ID, Sites.Site_name_1 FROM `Sites`"; $result1=mysql_query($sql1); ?> <?php function get_options() { $site=array('Site 1'=>'Site 1', 'Site 2'=>'Site 2', 'Site 3'=>'Site 3'); $options=''; while(list($k,$v)=each($site)) { $options.='<option value="'.$v.'">'.$k.'</option>'; } return $options; } if(isset($_POST['site'])) { echo $_POST['site']; } ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="POST"> <select name="site" onchange="this.form.submit();"> <?php echo get_options(); ?> </select>
  16. Hi all, I currently have a table listed, with one of the rows being hyperlinked and linking to an input form, should be autopopulated from the code (ID or other unique identifier) of the row, however, when clicking the link the form does not load. I will insert relevant code to this thread and if anyone would be able to shed some light on this that would be great. NOTE: SQL code has already been tested using PHPMyAdmin and works fine. Although, it may need changed to help with this issue - I'm not quite sure. Please see screenshots for relevant code.

  18. Hi, I am making a CMS and I can't get the search page to work right. The CMS is for a new local DJI store and I can't get anything to show up when I search for those who have paid for insurance on their drones. And when I enter a first or last name that multiple people have in common, like Mike or Smith, the info doesn't display correctly, The first customer is displayed correctly, but no one else is. searchcodefirst.php searchcodeinsurance.php searchcodelast.php
  19. I have a form that is populated by a CSV file, always 229 fields but anywhere up to 10 or 12 rows. The form populates correctly, but I'm having issues saving it all. Here is the form code: **page-confirm.php** $connect = mysqli_connect($server, $user, $pw, $db); if ($connect->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $conn->connect_error); }else{ //echo'success!'; } if(isset($_POST['preview'])) { ini_set('auto_detect_line_endings', true); $file = $_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"]; $handle = fopen($file, "r"); $maxPreviewRows = PHP_INT_MAX; // this will be ~2 billion on 32-bit system, or ~9 quintillion on 64-bit system $hasHeaderRow = true; echo "<form method='post' action='/form-submit' >"; echo '<table>'; if ($hasHeaderRow) { $headerRow = fgetcsv($handle); echo '<thead><tr>'; foreach($headerRow as $value) { echo "<th>$value</th>"; } echo '</tr></thead>'; } echo '<tbody>'; $rowCount = 0; while ($row = fgetcsv($handle)) { $colCount = 0; echo '<tr>'; foreach($row as $value) { echo "<td><input name='row[".$rowCount."][".$colCount."]' type='text' value='$value' /></td>"; $colCount++; } echo '</tr>'; if (++$rowCount > $maxPreviewRows) { break; } } echo '</tbody></table>'; echo "<input type='submit' name='confirm' value='confirm'>"; echo '</form>'; } ?> Here's the code for the submission page with the insert loop: **page-formsubmit.php** $connect = mysqli_connect($server, $user, $pw, $db); if ($connect->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $connect->connect_error); }else{ echo'success!'; } //var_dump($_POST); $sql = $inserts = $binds = []; foreach ($_POST['row'] as $rowValue){ if(is_array($rowValue) && count($rowValue) > 0 ){ foreach($rowValue as $rowData){ /*** * Stupidly, I had missed that row contains arrays * rather than values, so you need a foreach, inside the * foreach as so: ***/ foreach ($rowData as $columnKey => $columnValue){ //$columnValue will now equal $value //$columnKey will be the column number (1...229) /*** * This is the area you can construct your SQL query values. * db_connection is assumed to be setup. ***/ $sql[] = "`column_name_".$columnKey."`"; $binder = "value".$columnKey; $inserts[] = ":".$binder; $binds[$binder] = $columnValue; unset($binder); } unset($columnKey,$columnValue); } unset($rowData); /*** * This is the area the SQL query is set on a per row basis ***/ $sqlFull = "INSERT INTO staging (".implode(",",$sql).") VALUES(".implode(",",$inserts).")"; $connect->prepare($sqlFull); /*** * EDIT: bind param MUST come after the prepare call ***/ foreach($binds as $bindKey=>$bindRow){ $connect->bind_param(":".$bindKey, $bindRow); } unset($bindKey,$bindRow); var_dump($binds); $sql = $inserts = $binds = []; //reset arrays for next row iteration. /*** * db_connection then executes the statement constructed above ***/ $connect->execute(); } //close if. } unset($rowValue); ?> You can see in the submission page where I comment out the var_dump for post data. When it's active, it prints out this for the array: success!array(1) { ["row"]=> array(5) { [0]=> array(229) and continues printing the 229 elements for all 7 rows. There is something that's not quite working in this loop because even a debug statement within the loop to print the query won't work. I just need to make sure it iterates all 229 fields of every row to the end of the form and puts them into my staging table. My staging table, which is temporary, has 229 named fields in the exact order as the CSV, so I shouldn't have to declare each field I don't believe.
  20. I have two functions, one loading data and the other loading the data into an html table. I've done this for 3 other data sets without issue but this one is not loading into the table for some reason. The html table loads but it's empty. I have error printing on but there are no errors. Also the query returns the correct results when I manually run it so I know it's getting results, plus it's printing the result resource ID. So my result prints, and my html table shows up, but the results are not in the table so I'm assuming maybe I'm not passing it to the table properly? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated //Function to gather data private function loadActivity($cust) { $this->dbConnect(); //loading set data values from top of function file $fromC = $this->cy_from; $fromP = $this->py_from; $thruC = $this->cy_thru; $thruP = $this->py_thru; $endYr = $this->py_endYr; $query = " select count(*), 'PRIOR' as Range from actvty where cust = {$cust} AND date between '{$fromP}' and '{$thruP}' union all select count(*), 'CURRENT' as Range from actvty where cust = {$cust} AND date between '{$fromC}' and '{$thruC}' union ALL select count(*), 'FULL' as Range from actvty where cust = {$cust} AND date between '{$fromP}' and '{$endYr}'"; $result = odbc_exec($this->ocon,$query); print_r($result); //This prints "Resource ID #76" $this->activitySum = array(); if ($result) { while ($row = odbc_fetch_array($result)) { $this->activitySum[$row['Range']]; $this->isloaded = true; } }else{ echo"query failed" . odbc_error(); } } public function getCallActivityHTMLcust($cust, $header='Activity'){ $this->loadActivity($cust); $h2 = "<table class='customer-table'>"; $h2 .= "<thead><tr><th colspan='2' style='font-weight: bold'></th>" . htmlspecialchars($header) .   25. Hi I have a question about managing data from forms and database, to be exact for safe input/output data from form input fields. Do i need some filters to remove code from input if user try to insert ? When i making database table i limiting chars and same in form. Here is a piece of code i use just for test and example : // connection to database $dbh = new PDO('mysql:host=localhost;dbname=test123', 'root', ''); $dbh->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_EXCEPTION); // variables to insert into database $username = $_POST['username']; $password = $_POST['password']; $email = $_POST['email']; // query with prepare statements $stmt = $dbh->prepare("INSERT INTO members (username, password, email) VALUES (:username, :password, :email)"); $stmt->bindParam(":username", $username, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(":password", $password, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(":email", $email, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->execute(); $lastId = $dbh->lastInsertId(); // checking if query is passed and data is inserted into dataabse if($lastId > 0) { echo 'Thank u for register.'; } else { echo 'Something went wrong, please try again.'; }
