I usually keep my programming limited to 5-6 hours a day from morning time, then go to the gym, and then back to some more programing. Its not like that always, I do have plans and such with family friends, but its interesting to see how you guys balance out your day.. Philip Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 I'm typically too lazy to get up in the morning, but after I get off work I tend to do 20-30 miles on the bike on weekdays and then a few hours on the weekend. My job usually requires lots of physical activity, so I rarely work out. Although occasionally I'll do something in my spare time. If you're sitting at a computer for that long, you should get a dumbell or something with a moderate weight and every now and again do a few sets or something, just to keep the muscles active. Keeps the muscles in shape and burns about 8,000 calories an hour. Of course then I have to eat 2 large pizzas and a whole smoked brisket for lunch. I make it to the gym maybe a few times a month, whenever my eyes don't hurt so bad and I don't have a headache from looking at the computer screen for 8 hours..
