Monkuar
I listen to documentaries or complete silence. What kind of documentaries? Sounds cool, like CSI/Crime scene stuff? Biography/etc?

kicken
I have a giant folder of music files I've collected over the years from friends and what not. I just open that in VLC and set it to random. No particular track or anything that I code to. Back in highschool/college friends would ask me to make compilation CD's of select songs from their collections. I'd always just rip each CD in it's entirety and save the tracks into my library rather than just what they wanted. As a result I have a ton of stuff and hardly a clue as to what exactly is in there. Every once in a while a song plays and I'm like 'WTF is this? It sucks.' or 'WTF is this, it rocks!' lol.
Philip
Like piano music eh? I like a wide variety of instrumental. Not huge on classical, but I listen to a lot more 'modern' music and remakes
Monkuar
Blah, I've been using winamp for random generate songs to be played, I've had VLC for years and didn't know about that feature, why I feel like a dumbut, lol. I will be using vlc now definitely, hate the new winamp versions, they're bloated. @Philip, post up your modern !
Jessica
Everyone will share their favorite music to listen to while coding PHP. If you do not listen to music while coding, leave this topic, Thanks ! That was kind of bossy... I use Spotify, and I have several lists/stations I like to listen to when programming. The first is anything pop repetitive. The stuff that plays on Billboard 100 right now, it all has 4 lyrics over and over again. Very easy to focus for me. Other than that I like my workout station with songs geared to running or lifting weights, or my high-school list which is 90's pop basically (Mostly BNL and Everclear, because I haven't had time to add much more to it. I could listen to BNL all day long.)
The Little Guy
I use Spotify Me too... I guess I would have to say the Billboard 100 as well, and sirusXM Hits1. But also: Flogging Molly Disturbed Three Days Grace Seether Porn Star Dancing (song)

scootstah
I have a bunch of playlists on Pandora, Grooveshark, and a library on my PC that I listen to. No specific thing, just whatever I'm in the mood for. I mostly listen to Alternative/Progressive Rock, most kinds of Metal, and Electronica/Trance stuff.
