  1. There is no single, quick fix way of achieving this - You'll have to specifically code this functionality. Coding it to work on one system almost always CAN'T be just "copied" over to another "script". There appears to be a trend developing with you looking for pre-written code to achieve pretty specific tasks - Maybe you should start actually learning PHP rather than wasting your time looking for half-arsed pre-existing "solutions".
  2. Is the cable plugged in securely at both ends?
  3. Have you read any of the documentation for either of the APIs?
  4. No, I very much doubt that GBC games are old enough to be considered abandon-ware. Especially carrying or infringing the Pokemon trademark!
  5. There are a bunch of forums for the buying/selling of domain names, these generally have a board on them for selling whole websites.
  6. It's most likely a codec issue, whenever I try viewing Windows Media content on a Mac, it uses an application called Flip4Mac that I installed. You're better of encoding your videos to something like Flash, and embed them within a Flash player.
  7. I've only played World of Goo out of the ones on offer, I thought that was a pretty fun game, and kudos for Linux support.
  8. No-one is forcing you to do anything, if you don't like how this community is run, try another site that works more to your liking. Oh, and I'll save you some hassle, Silverlight is not an alternative to PHP - Why not take a look at Perl, Python or Ruby.
  9. I wasn't allowed to change my name even when I was a Moderator - I even had the applicable permissions to actually change it myself but it didn't fly with the rest of the team. Good luck
  10. That pretty much confirmed my understanding of the difference.
  11. Looks like it's actually called Call of Duty: Black Ops - http://www.treyarch.com/
  12. How are you using PayPal? Are you using Website Payments Standard, or Website Payments Pro? Sometimes, I feel the standard integration can cheapen the offer sometimes, whereas integrating with Pro allows you to keep the customer on your website the whole time during the payment process, making it look more professional, plus the addition of an SSL certificate can give the impression of security during the payment processing. It could also be down to the way in which your site is designed - Does it look professional?

  14. It has been discussed at least once before, and as far as I can remember, the outcome was "what's the point?".
  15. Yo, 2008 called; they want their thread back.
  16. It never hurts to know more than one language
  17. The official PayPal documentation is pretty comprehensive.
  18. The IRC isn't a high traffic site - Obviously. I was commenting in relation to your statement that you'd personally experienced both fairly large community and commercial sites with downtime for at least a week.
  19. It's not his job to be at the panel 24/7 and make sure it is running fine, I'm not aware of the owner's personality or agenda but it doesn't seem amazing to have a week's leeway on getting it up and running, I've personally experienced some fairly large (community based or commercially) sites down for atleast that amount of time to get up to do the job and be able to fix it. Are you serious? There are monitoring tools available that can fire off an email when a service drops, you receive the e-mail, and fix it over SSH. You don't need to be sitting in front of it 24/7. His company owns this site, so yes, I'd imagine it is ultimately his job to ensure that it is maintained and looked after. A weeks worth of downtime is ridiculous on any site with a good amount of traffic. , that level of carelessness is how you loose traffic (and money).
  20. I'm thinking about creating an auction site, where users can list almost anything they like - Could you give me a list of all the categories? This is going to be an international site, could you give me a list of all the countries too?
  21. By modules of functionality? You must have attributed these hours to doing something.
  22. Is that because you don't have teenage girls wanting to drop their pants when they see you? LOL And that he is younger and more wealthy than you too?
