Jessica
Clearly, English is not your first language, so I'm telling you that grammatically the sentence doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense because those words do not go together in that way. .josh
Still not explaining the issue! Nope, you haven't. And that's why you continue to get trollish answers. If you want better answers, ask a better question. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/267998-php-vs-java/#findComment-1375262 Share on other sites
JLT
The question basically asks "Can PHP do everything that Java can, but better?" More or less "Is PHP better than Java?" .josh
The question basically asks "Can PHP do everything that Java can, but better?" More or less "Is PHP better than Java?" At best, the question is too vague. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/267998-php-vs-java/#findComment-1375282 Share on other sites

The Little Guy
It depends on what you want to do. Java does many things better than php and PHP does many things better than Java. scootstah
No. Java is a compiled desktop/system language with entirely different design goals than PHP. The two are not comparable. PHP is primarily a web language. Even though it can be used from the command line or even for some desktop applications, that is not what it was designed for and it's not very good at that.
